From Pickering follow A170(Scarborough) to Thornton le Dale. Turn left after pedestrian crossing just before Buck Inn (Signposted Dalby Forest Drive). 1¼ mile turn right into Dalby Forest. At Toll Point tell operator that you are staying at South Moor Farm. We are 8 miles past toll point, stay on the tarmac road. You will pass the Visitor Centre, Staindale Lake, Adderstone Field, and Jingleby Thorn Tea Garden. We are 1 mile from Jingleby, in open fields on the right hand side, double gates with B & B signs.
From Hackness again follow Dalby Forest Drive signs through Langdale End, past Bickley and Bickley Gate car park, we are 3.5 miles from Langdale End.
Late arrivals after 8pm at night.
Dalby Forest Drive through the forest is locked .
You can either come via Hackness and Langdale End or you can come through Ebberston,
that’s on the A170 Pickering to Scarborough road. Watch for The Grapes pub on right,
then in the dip of road cross roads , sign Cliff House, holiday cottages, turn left
before house (sign in black & white). Single track road to Givendale Head farm.
Then on to limestone forestry road towards Ebberston Common Farm. At first junction bear
right, at second junction bear left. Pass turning for Ebberston Common farm
on right, go straight on, when the track meets the tarmac road carry straight on.
We are on the right half a mile from joining the tarmac road.
However this is a very rough single track limestone road after Givendale Head Farm.
