South Moor Farm. Farming.

We had not planned on retiring to a small farm but having bought the property we soon found that although neglected for many years the fields were suitable for grazing animals.

During the summer months we have a herd of cows grazing the fields around the house.

We also keep a few sheep, and the usual cats and dogs.

Occasionally we have a couple of Pigs to provide our own pork.

Free range chickens and ducks provide us with eggs and we can sell the surplus locally which pays for the chicken food.

We also sell home made jams, pickles and scones as well as eggs from a stall at the end of our drive.
